NVIDIA RTX 2060 HANDS-ON

NVIDIA RTX 2060 HANDS:ON REVIEW

Previous year it seemed like Nvidia was more immersed in capturing the flagship GPU market while AMD was trying become the king of budget GPU market. With the launch of RX 580 AMD completely thrown away NVIDIA GTX 1060 in 1080p gaming scoring significantly better FPS in many titles, but it was not the end for AMD. It again launched RX 590 a more refreshed and upgraded version of its polaris architecture but made on a more power efficient 10nm process.

But with the arrival of 2019 and also with arrival of CES 2019 Nvidia again catched its place with the launch of a beefy RTX 2060. Yeah, you heard it right, its RTX 2060 with more CUDA cores new Tensor Cores and also with new RT cores for fancy Ray traced games at budget. Without further late lets see what Nvidia is offering this year.

ARCHITECTURE

The new Nvidia RTX 2060 is based on new TURING architecture that rocks in its monstrous RTX 2080TI. Its based on new TU106 processor with 6GB GDDR6 VRAM. It has 1920 CUDA cores, a massive bump from its previous GTX 1060’s 1280 CUDA cores.

It has a base clock of 1365 MHz with a boost clock of 1650 MHz. It also has the latest RT and Tensor cores for Real-Time Ray Tracing and DLSS(Deep Learning Super Sampling).Unlike its bigger brother RTX 2070, RTX 2060 has 30 RT cores and 240 tensor cores. It has a die size of 445mm2 with a memory bus of 192 bit and 14GBps of memory speed. It has a memory bandwidth of 336 GBps.

So by this we all can see the RTX 2060 is much better than the last generation xx60 card and also at a premium price increase of $100 for all the new facy RT and TENSOR cores.

THOUGH NVIDIA DIDN’T SEND ME THE CARD TILL NOW, BUT ACCORDING TO OTHERS IT SEEMS THE NEW RTX 2060 IS 90%OF WHAT YOU GET ON RTX 2070.

THANKS FOR READING :).
